Dan Hymas

Dan has been part of the Scandia family since 2014, helping to build the foundation of the Smart Rain team and technology. He graduated from Utah State University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management. With a background in sales and customer success he is passionate about business growth and exceptional service. When Dan joined the team in 2014, he started as a sales manager to grow Smart Rain’s service business. In 2016 Dan was key in the development of new technology for Smart Rain and changing the business model. In 2020 Dan became a partner at Scandia and President of Smart Rain. During his tenure at Smart Rain he improved customer retention to 99% and has helped grow customer base by more than 1,500%. He helped move Smart Rain in 2020 to one of the fastest growing companies in the United States. He also grew the Smart Rain team to more than 100 people and built the company culture to be centered on innovation and customers. In his spare time Dan enjoys traveling and doing anything that involves spending time with his wife and son.
